About Nazar: The word ‘Nazar’ derives from Arabic, meaning ‘Sight’. Nazar, more commonly known as the Evil Eye symbol, is over 5000 years old. It can be found in all major religions and throughout countless cultures around the world, particularly in the Mediterranean and Middle East. It is believed that the eye protects its wearer from negativity, jealousy, and the ill-will of others by peering back at them.
