Hyacinth

According to Greek legend, a boy named Hyakinthos, who was loved by both Apollo (the Sun God) and Zephyr (the God of the West wind) was accidentally killed while the two were competing for his attention. From his blood a beautiful fragrant flower grew. In his sorrow Apollo named the flower Hyacinth.
